Back to Writing

Thank you so much for your understanding and support while I struggled with some serious real life issues.

I am SO happy to tell you that I have five chapters left to revise on Mission 1 of ERROWS OF SPRING: Two Tonnes of Sisu.

My husband is working on the formatting, what a GREAT guy, so we should have the Kindle edition ready soon.

I will keep you posted on our progress.

Watch for more details.

And thanks again for waiting!

Mission One Updates

Publication of ERROWS of SPRING, Mission 1, Two Tonnes of SISU will be delayed.

I hoped to launch it on April 2nd, 2012, but several real life issues are taking much of my time and attention at the moment.

This story is very important to me and I want to give it my best writing and drawing, so I prefer to wait rather than rush through something I am not completely happy with.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I will give you a new launch date as soon as possible.

You can read the full update on the page listed on the right menu.

I really encourage you to read the book as well as see the movie, HUGO!

Gone for a Week

Just a reminder I will be away for the next week. Back on Friday February 17th at the latest. Will miss everyone!

Have lots of FUN while I am gone.

Why not read one of my books while you wait for Mission One of ERROWS of SPRING to be ready to print?

Mr. Alex and Mrs. Munchkin

One of the great things about being a writer is I can write about anything I can imagine! I am delighted to have Mr. Alex back in my life as a fictional character in my new series, ERROWS OF SPRING!

Here is a pic of my Buddy that I keep on my fridge. My friend, Alice, took this photo!

In real life, Alex died of cancer over two years ago. He and Mrs. Munchkin were like a married couple. They were so loving and caring. Alex always protected Munchie and she comforted him when he was sad. They were always together. Mrs. Munchkin still cries at night and misses him a lot.

None of the human characters in my stories are based on real people, but the cats in ERROWS of SPRING are definitely Alex and Munchie!

In my story, Alex’s character’s name is Kari, and he is a senior agent in S.P.R.I.N.G. (Society for the Protection and Relocation of Intelligence in the Near Galaxies) and he is here, with his mate, and fellow agent, Anni,  for their first mission on Earth.

Although Kari looks similar to an earth cat, he is bigger and more powerful. He can also communicate verbally and telepathically with other members of his team.

I started off with the photo of Alex and made this first drawing:

Then I thought about how is character is different from the real Alex:

Imagine this powerful cat weighs about forty pounds and comes up to your knees! Definitely someone you do not want to mess with.

In real life, Alex talked a lot. If I told him to be quiet, he would just talk louder!

He enforced the family schedule. If I tried to stay up late, he would yell at me until I started getting ready! His character is the same, he bosses the other agents around and tried to keep everyone on task. Even his mate complains he talks too much!

ERROWS OF SPRING – this is a series.

I have already written the first draft of Mission 2 and part of Mission3!

Society for the Protection and Relocation of Intelligence in the Near Galaxies.

This is their first mission on Earth. We have finally become intelligent enough for them to take notice of us and think we might be worth protecting!

The name of Mission 1 is Two Tonnes of SISU.

I am about 1/3 of the way through my second edit. My volunteer editors have given me great ideas and suggestions. I need to add a lot more description and details. To be honest, I worried about the story being too long, and then I looked at my bookcase and decided some of the best stories I read are the longest ones.

So we will be over 300 pages when I am done!

I have finished 12 drawings for chapter headings. There are 33 chapters so I have lots more drawing to do. Then I will start work on the book covers.

MANY THANKS to my wonderful editors for their great feedback. I was trying to be mysterious, but all I accomplished was confusing my readers! lol Working hard to fix that.

ERROWS OF SPRING Updates

ERROWS OF SPRING

Mission 1

Two Tonnes of  SISU

The first mission on Earth of S.P.R.I.N.G., Society for the Protection and Relocation of Intelligence in the Near Galaxies is progressing well!

I have planned most of the drawings for the chapter headings and completed six of them. I hope to start work on the book covers this week!

I always recommend reading your story out loud. Usually I read to Bella, my dog, and Mrs. Munchkin, my cat, although they tend to fall asleep in the middle and I wind up reading to the wall! lol

This time, I am reading to my husband. We discuss everything and laugh a lot. Much more fun than him reading the story on his Kobo and making notes of things he thinks need changing.

Here is one of my favorite drawings for a chapter heading:

Here is a wonderful graphic from my Buddy, iStorm!

I decided to trade the first two chapters around so this is now chapter 1:

And everyone loves hot chocolate so here’s one for Geremy!
